Route 1 AMA: Sagrado Corazón – 65 de Infantería

Route 1 connects Sagrado Corazón Station on the Urban Train with the 65 de Infantería area, crossing Santurce along Avenida Ponce de León and Avenida Barbosa. It is an everyday commuter route that only runs Monday to Friday and holidays.

💚 Right now the service is free. Fare collection on AMA buses and the Urban Train has been suspended since March 2024. You do not need to pay or carry a card to ride Route 1.

Route and stops

Route 1 leaves the Urban Train’s terminal station and runs through Santurce and Río Piedras to the 65 de Infantería shopping area. This is ATI’s official route in the Sagrado Corazón → 65 de Infantería direction:

  • Ave. Ponce de León exclusive lane
  • Ave. Gándara
  • Avenida Barbosa (opposite the former Capetillo Terminal)
  • PR-3 · 65 Infantería Shopping Center

In the opposite direction, from 65 de Infantería to Sagrado Corazón, the route runs in reverse, but the final stretch uses the Ave. Muñoz Rivera exclusive lane instead of Ponce de León.

Right now travel is free because fare collection is suspended. When ATI restores fares, the price of Route 1 will be:
