Universidad Station is located on Avenida Ponce de León corner Calle Mariana Bracetti, inside the UPR Río Piedras campus of San Juan. Underground station with central 138m platform and two entrances: North (Hospital Auxilio Mutuo) and South (UPR campus). 11th stop from Bayamón terminal. Features elevators and escalators at both entrances.

How to Get from UPR Campus

A 3–5 minute walk from any point on the central campus: the station has a south entrance inside the university grounds, near the Faculty of Social Sciences and José M. Lázaro Library. From the School of Business or the Arts Pavilion, head toward Avenida Ponce de León.

This entrance provides direct pedestrian access via fixed and escalator stairs descending to the underground lobby. Elevator available at the south entrance. During class hours (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) this is the most-used entrance by students and faculty.

How to Get from Hospital Auxilio Mutuo

A 6-minute walk: Hospital Auxilio Mutuo is the closest medical center to the station, on Avenida Ponce de León. From the main entrance, walk west approximately 450 meters to the north entrance of the station, at the corner of Calle Mariana Bracetti.

This north entrance also serves Hospital de la Solidaridad and adjacent medical offices. Avenida Ponce de León has wide sidewalks with traffic lights at the Mariana Bracetti intersection. Elevator available to the platform.

From AMA Buses (Avenida José N. Gándara / Ponce de León)

Three main AMA routes: C1 (from Cupey through Universidad, connecting Río Piedras and San Juan) · D26 (Piñero Station to Trujillo Alto) · T8 (Martínez Nadal to Universidad and Río Piedras). Stops on Av. José N. Gándara before Calle 2 (203m) and Av. Mayagüez after Ponce de León (330m). All accept AT card with free transfer within 2 hours.

Universidad Station has no large Park & Ride. UPR campus lots require permit. Visitors: Faculty of Social Sciences parking on weekends (hourly). Street parking on Avenida Ponce de León (metered during commercial hours). Recommended: Cupey (297 free spaces, 8 min by train) or Martínez Nadal (1,007 spaces, 12 min by train).
