Urban Train to Condado & Santurce | Complete Guide
The Urban Train does not go directly to Condado or Santurce, but you can easily combine the train with AMA buses.
Sagrado Corazón Station (east terminal) is your connection point: from there, direct routes reach Condado, Miramar, and the heart of Santurce in under 20 minutes.
How to get to Condado from the Urban Train
Take the Urban Train to Sagrado Corazón Station (east terminal).
At the exit, take the AMA bus on route 21, which runs along Ave. Ashford and Ave. Magdalena towards Old San Juan.
Get off on Avenida Ashford — Condado’s hotel and shopping strip facing the Atlantic Ocean.
Total time: around 20–30 minutes from Bayamón. Route 21 runs Monday to Saturday and public holidays, roughly every 30 minutes.
Fare: the service is free right now. Once fare collection resumes, the train will cost $1.50 and the bus will be included if you board within the following two hours using the travel card.
How to get to Santurce from the Urban Train
Sagrado Corazón Station sits on the edge of Santurce. From there you can walk or take a bus to the main attractions:
Centro de Bellas Artes Luis A. Ferré: about an 8-minute walk from Sagrado Corazón, or take route 3 along Ave. Ponce de León.
Museum of Art of Puerto Rico: also on Ave. Ponce de León, reachable on route 3 or route 21.
La Placita de Santurce: a 12–15 minute walk from Sagrado Corazón.
Avenida Ponce de León (bars and restaurants): route 3 runs its full length, every 10–30 minutes depending on the time of day. It is one of the few routes that also runs on Sundays.
How to get to the Puerto Rico Convention Center
Take the train to Sagrado Corazón.
From there you have two bus options:
Route 35 (Sagrado Corazón ↔ Convention Center): the direct connection. Runs Monday to Friday every 30 minutes, from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. No service on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays.
Route 21: passes the Convention Center on its way to Old San Juan, and does run on Saturdays.
Alternative: taxi or Uber from Sagrado Corazón, around 7 minutes.
The Puerto Rico Convention Center has no train stop of its own, so train plus bus is the quickest combination.
How to get to Miramar from the Urban Train
Miramar is about a 15-minute walk from Sagrado Corazón along Avenida Ponce de León.
By bus you can take route 3 (Sagrado Corazón ↔ Old San Juan) or route 5 (Iturregui ↔ Old San Juan), both of which cross Miramar along Ave. Ponce de León.
Miramar is home to the Sheraton Puerto Rico, the Convention Center District and a wide range of restaurants.

The analysis will take 12 to 18 months and covers several alternatives, including bus rapid transit, light rail and a stop in the Convention Center District. No construction dates have been set.
