Route 22 AMA: Sagrado Corazón – Plaza Las Américas
Route 22 is the shortest and most direct connection between Sagrado Corazón Station on the Urban Train and Plaza Las Américas. It is a six-point journey that drops you at the mall entrance, but with one important limitation: it only runs Monday to Friday.
Route and stops
Route 22 makes a short, direct journey between the train’s terminal station and the shopping mall. This is ATI’s official route in the Sagrado Corazón → Plaza direction:
- Sagrado Corazón Station — Urban Train connection
- Ave. Ponce de León
- Calle Chardón
- Avenida Hostos
- Calle Juan Calaf
- Plaza Las Américas
In the Plaza → Sagrado Corazón direction the route runs in reverse, with one difference: it uses Ave. Muñoz Rivera instead of Ponce de León on the final stretch.
Route based on ATI’s official itinerary. Check the official route map or the Transit app for real-time detail.

Urban Train connection
Route 22 starts at Sagrado Corazón, the Urban Train’s terminal station. It is the fastest combination for reaching Plaza Las Américas without walking:
- 🚆Connection at Sagrado CorazónGet off the train and take Route 22 straight to the mall
- 🎫Free transferTrain ⇄ bus within 2 hours with the travel card
You can also board at Hato Rey station, which is closer to Plaza. Roosevelt is the nearest station to the mall on foot, but it is just over 1.5 km west, about a 20-minute walk along Avenida Roosevelt.
Route 22 and Plaza Las Américas
Plaza Las Américas is the largest shopping mall in the Caribbean, with more than 300 stores, cinemas and a food court. Routes 22 and 21 are the only two AMA routes that terminate inside the mall itself, which saves the 20-minute walk from Roosevelt station.
Keep the mall’s opening hours in mind when planning your return: Plaza closes at 9:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday, but the last Route 22 trip towards Sagrado Corazón leaves at 8:30 p.m.
