Route 2 AMA: Bayamón – Sagrado Corazón

Route 2 links the Urban Train’s two terminal stations by road: Bayamón to the west and Sagrado Corazón to the east. With a bus every 20 minutes on weekdays, it is one of the highest-frequency routes in the whole AMA network and a useful surface alternative to the train along the same corridor.

Route and stops

Route 2 runs along the Bayamón–Hato Rey–Santurce corridor, passing San Patricio and the Hato Rey Transfer Centre. This is ATI’s official route in the Bayamón → Sagrado Corazón direction:

  • Bayamón Station — the train’s western terminus
  • PR-2
  • San Patricio
  • Ave. Roosevelt
  • Hato Rey Transfer Centre
  • Ave. Muñoz Rivera exclusive lane
  • Sagrado Corazón Station — the train’s eastern terminus

In the opposite direction, from Sagrado Corazón to Bayamón, the route runs in reverse, leaving via the Ponce de León exclusive lane instead of Muñoz Rivera.

Route based on ATI’s official itinerary. Check the official route map or the Transit app for real-time detail.

Schedule and frequency

Route 2 runs Monday to Saturday and public holidays, with the same times in both directions. These are ATI’s official figures:

Days First trip Last trip Frequency

Saturdays 5:30 a.m. 8:00 p.m. every 30 min

Times are identical in both directions: from Bayamón and from Sagrado Corazón alike, the first trip leaves at 5:00 a.m. on weekdays and the last at 9:00 p.m.

AMA schedules can change and are not always kept exactly. Check the real arrival time in the official Transit app before leaving.
