Route 6 AMA: Carolina – Iturregui

Route 6 connects the town of Carolina with the Iturregui terminal, running along the municipality’s main avenues. It is a local route serving the residential areas of central and eastern Carolina.

Route 6 crosses Carolina from west to east along its main avenues. This is ATI’s official route in the Carolina → Iturregui direction:

Route 6 runs Monday to Saturday and public holidays. These are ATI’s official times:

⚠️ Route 6 does not run on Sundays. None of the AMA routes serving Carolina operates on that day.

Right now travel is free because fare collection is suspended. When ATI restores fares, the price of Route 6 will be:

Payment will be made when boarding, with exact change or with the travel card sold at Urban Train stations. The card allows free transfers between train and bus within a 2-hour window.

Urban Train connection

Route 6 does not call at any Urban Train station. It is an internal Carolina route, and the train does not reach that municipality. To combine it with the train you need to change buses:

  • 🚆Route 41 to PiñeroThis is the one that takes you from Iturregui to a train station

Another option from Carolina is route 7, which does reach Cupey Station on the Urban Train directly, with no need to change.
