Route 91 AMA: Bayamón Station – Santa Juanita

Route 91 connects Bayamón Station on the Tren Urbano with Avenida Santa Juanita, calling at the UPR Bayamón campus. It has a feature that is unusual in the network: the outbound and return trips do not follow the same itinerary.

Route 91 runs Monday to Saturday and on public holidays. These are the official ATI times:

Frequency: every 30 minutes Monday to Friday, every 35 minutes on Saturdays and every 40 minutes on public holidays.

This is one of the best frequencies among the routes connecting with the train, and with wide operating hours: on weekdays it runs until 8:30 p.m.

⚠️ Route 91 does not run on Sundays, and neither does its sister route 92 or any other Bayamón route. There is no bus service from the station that day.

Right now travel is free because fare collection is suspended. When ATI reinstates fares, the price of Route 91 will be:

Payment will be made on boarding, with exact change or with the travel card sold at Tren Urbano stations. The card allows free transfers between train and bus within a 2-hour window.

Route 91 starts at Bayamón Station, the western terminus of the Tren Urbano:

From Bayamón the train reaches Sagrado Corazón, the other terminus, in about 29 minutes, stopping at Centro Médico, Río Piedras and Hato Rey among others. For UPR Bayamón students travelling in from the metropolitan area, train plus Route 91 is the usual combination.
