Payment will be made on boarding, with exact change or with the travel card sold at Tren Urbano stations. The card allows free transfers between train and bus within a 2-hour window.
Tren Urbano connection
Route 41 ends at Piñero Station, and that is precisely its role within the network: it is the only route running from the Iturregui terminal to a train station.
- 🚆Piñero StationRoutes 4, 8, 17, 26 and 40 (airport express) also stop there
- 🔁Transfer at IturreguiConnects with routes 5 (to the airport and Old San Juan), 6 (to Carolina) and 43 (to Ave. Monserrate)
In practice this makes Route 41 the piece that closes the eastern corridor: anyone coming from Carolina on route 6, or from the Pontezuela area on route 43, changes at Iturregui and reaches the train on this bus. From Piñero, the Tren Urbano runs on to Hato Rey, Sagrado Corazón, Centro Médico and Bayamón.
If you are coming from the town of Carolina and would rather avoid the transfer, route 7 runs straight to Cupey Station on a single bus.
