Reaching the Tren Urbano from Route 43

Route 43 does not call at any Tren Urbano station. To combine it with the train you need to change at Iturregui, its western terminus:

  • 🚆Transfer to route 41It runs from Iturregui to Piñero Station, and is the only route making that link
  • 🔁Other routes at IturreguiRoute 5 goes to the airport and Old San Juan; route 6 to the town of Carolina

The full journey would be: Route 43 to Iturregui → Route 41 to Piñero Station → Tren Urbano. With the travel card, transfers between buses and train are free within a 2-hour window.

⚠️ Allow extra time. Route 43 comes every 45 minutes and route 41 every 30, so in the worst case the transfer can add a considerable wait. Check both in the Transit app before setting off.
