General fare

Reaching the Tren Urbano from Route 44

Route 44 does not call at any Tren Urbano station, nor does it reach a terminal with a direct link. It is the route in the network that sits furthest from the train:

  • 🔁Transfer at Ave. MonserrateIt overlaps there with route 43, which runs to Iturregui
  • 🚆Then route 41 at IturreguiThat is the one connecting with Piñero Station

The full journey would be: Route 44 → Route 43 at Ave. Monserrate → Route 41 at Iturregui → Piñero Station. That is three buses before boarding the train.

⚠️ If your final destination is the Tren Urbano, there is a better option. From the town of Carolina, route 7 runs straight to Cupey Station on a single bus. Route 44 makes sense for getting around Carolina, not for reaching the train.
